Wow God is so Good! Thank you So much for all your prayers.
It was such an awesome time at the river community working with the youth.
Life here in the river community is hard, probably some of the hardest living conditions I have ever been in, if it is not bugs eating you it is a million other things, but in saying all this it is an awesome place to live, there are no worries here, people are laid back and so friendly. I have enjoyed spending time with them so much. I defiantly will not forget the people or time with them, countless hours of them laughing at me about my strange ways and my bad pronunciation.
Thank you for your prayers God has been so faithful, there are so many crazy stories of eating poisons plants that people gave to us by accident, walking barefoot through the jungle because of 6 inches of mud, walking on a trails through the middle of the jungle alone, getting eaten alive by mosquitoes and millions of other bugs. Sleeping for the first time without a mosquito net and learning from that experience after about 130 mosquito bites in one night. Hunting and fishing in the Amazon. God was so faithful.
I went to the river community with a couple with 2 kids and the husband has taken quite a few medical classes and one of the classes he took was a class to diagnose and treat Malaria and as it turns out that is one way that God answered your prayers. Four days before we came home (Jan. 8th) I got Malaria. He was able to diagnose and treat it early, God is so good! Once I finish the treatment that lasts 6 days I will be back to normal. Another amazing blessing from God is the medicine I have is really harsh and sometimes is worse than having Malaria, but I have not had any side affects, everyone is amazed when I share that part, Go God!!! Thanks so much for all your prayers. God Bless Mitch
P.S. I hope you had a great Christmas and New Years, I was thinking about you and praying for you. |
